Anne Hathaway: I’m going to the Oscars with my dad

Actress wants to make it a family affair

Anne Hathaway is up against Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie for the Oscar

Anne Hathaway has found a date for this month’s Oscars – her father.

The actress, 26, is nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actress category for Rachel Getting Married.

‘I'm taking my dad,’ she tells People. ‘Hopefully, if I can squeeze a few more tickets, I'm going to see if I can take my brother and my mom.

‘This is my first, maybe my only, time going. Hopefully not! My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I definitely wanted them by my side.’

Anne split from boyfriend Raffaello Follieri in June, just days before he was arrested for fraud.

He was sentenced to more than four years in prison in September.
