Actress to reprise role as sidekick Martha Jones
Tuesday, 27 January 2009
Freema Agyeman is to make a comeback on Doctor Who.
The actress, who played sidekick Martha Jones in the third series, will appear in one of four specials to be screened this year.
‘She’s on board,’ a source tells The Sun. ‘It’s early days so it’s unclear what exactly Martha will be up to in the new show.’
Freema, 29, was replaced by Catherine Tate, 40, after just one season, and has appeared on spin-off programme Torchwood.
David Tennant, 37, will quit the BBC show at the end of the year.
