Singer's dad explains story behind hotel photos

Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil has filed for divorce

Amy Winehouse’s dad Mitch says pictures of crawling on her hands and knees on holiday have been misinterpreted.

The singer was reported to have crouched near tables in a bid to get alcohol from other guests at her hotel in St Lucia.

‘They were taken before I arrived here,’ he says. ‘But she was just having fun pretending to be a horse.'

Mitch went to see Amy, 25, following the news that her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, had filed for divorce.

It’s thought the jailbird started legal proceedings after seeing photos of Amy cuddling up to Josh Bowman, 21.

‘I had to call Amy before she heard about it from someone else,’ Mitch tells the Telegraph.

‘She asked me, “Daddy, why does he want to divorce me?"

'I said, "You know I don't like him, but I have to admit that your behaviour with another man is not what marriage is all about."'
