Meera Syal is keen to resurrect her popular BBC radio and TV series Goodness Gracious Me.
The actress says she enjoyed working on the hit programme, which started out on Radio 4 in 1996 before making the transition to the small screen in 1998.
‘The sad thing is there hasn’t been a replacement,' she tells Now Online. 'It might be logistically difficult trying to get everybody back together, but in the right circumstance and with the right material, I'd never say never.’
Goodness Gracious Me was last seen on TV in 2001.
And Meera, 47, who is is married to former co-star Sanjeev Bhaskar, already has ideas on how to freshen up the series.
‘I think there would be a whole wealth of new characters to introduce now because it’s been 10 years since the radio show ended,’ she adds.
