Royal follows in his ancestor’s footsteps

Prince William must have misplaced his razor

Prince William is now sporting a full beard.

The facial hair makes the royal a dead ringer for Henry VIII, who favoured a similar look in the 16th Century.

William, 26, unveiled his updated image during a shooting party he attended with brother Harry, 24, and girlfriend Kate Middleton, 26, in December.

And he still hadn't shaved when the Royal Family attended the Christmas Day church service on The Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

William is thought to have let his beard grow during a recent 10-day exercise with the Special Boat Service in the Caribbean.
