Vinnie Jones charged with assault after being glassed in bar fight

Actor arrested by police in the US

Vinnie Jones was a professional footballer before becoming an actor

Vinnie Jones has been charged with assault following a bar brawl.

The actor reportedly hit a man during a fracas at Wiley's Tavern in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

‘A bar fight broke out,’ a police spokesman tells The Sun. ‘Vincent Jones was smashed in the face with a beer mug.

'He then punched someone else in the face. It was a verbal argument that escalated to pushing and shoving and then a bar brawl.

‘We don’t know what started the argument but it seems to have just been a stupid bar brawl that got out of hand.

‘The man that Mr Jones punched is not the same man who glassed him.’

Vinnie, who starred in Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, was arrested early Friday morning and later released on bail.

The actor lives in Los Angeles with wife Tanya and their children Kaley and Aaron.

He faces up to a year in jail if found guilty of assault.
