X Factor’s Ruth Lorenzo: Dannii Minogue is taking me to Australia

Contestant speaks out about friendship with her mentor

Danni Minogue mentored Ruth Lorenzo in the over 25s category on The X Factor

Ruth Lorenzo has revealed that she planning a holiday with X Factor judge Dannii Minogue.

The Spanish singer was voted off the ITV show last week but believes she'll still stay friends with her former mentor.

‘Dannii is amazing,’ she tells Metro. ‘I speak to her on the phone every day.

‘We’re so close. I’m even going back home with her to visit Australia when she goes to see her family next time. I cannot wait.’

Ruth, 26, also revealed she has had ‘loads of offers and opportunities’ since leaving the show.

Diana Vickers, 17, Eoghan Quigg, 16, Alexandra Burke, 19 and boyband JLS are all through to the semi-final.
