Sinitta: Michael Jackson could replace Simon Cowell on The X Factor

She thinks Justin Timberlake would be good too

Simon Cowell helped Sinitta launch her pop career in the 1980s

If Simon Cowell ever quits The X Factor, Sinitta thinks she knows the ideal person to fill his shoes.

‘Simon’s so passionate it would be difficult to replace him,' she said.

'But maybe you could have Justin Timberlake, or Michael Jackson, if he wasn’t so whacky.'

The singer, 42, insists she's very fond of her ex, 49, despite him being "a bit of a control freak".

‘I speak to Simon most days,' she told Now Online as she promoted the Leapfrog Love to Read with Tag programme for children.

'But then I’ve always been friends with all my ex-boyfriends, I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to be.
 
‘I’ve had those days where I’ve thought “when I see him I’m going to kill him” but it just makes the friendship stronger. I love him unconditionally.’
