Actor said to be replacing David Tennant
Friday, 7 November 2008
Colin Salmon is apparently being lined-up to play the first black Doctor Who.
The actor, who appears in latest James Bond movie Quantum Of Solace, is thought to be in talks to replace David Tennant, 37, when he leaves at the end of 2009.
Colin, 45, has already featured in the BBC series as the character Dr Moon.
‘He made a good impression when he appeared and bosses think the time is right to have the first black Doctor,’ a source tells The Sun.

I do like the idea of a black Doctor Who. In fact, it may be the one idea that is different enough from David Tennant, that won't lose a large part of Tennant's fanbase. However, I think the've got the wrong man. The perfect replacement if they want a black actor in the role: Mos Def
I thinlk he would make a great dr, but my 1st choice of a new dr is still david morrissey
