Russell Brand in talks for Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 role

Comedian lined up to play Captain Jack Sparrow’s brother

Russell Brand has said he wants to focus on acting in the future

Russell Brand could net £5 million for an appearance in the latest Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.

The comedian is in the frame to play the brother of Captain Jack Sparrow, played by Johnny Depp, 45.

‘There couldn’t be a role more perfectly suited,’ a source tells The Sun.

‘There’s a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behaviour. Johnny’s accent isn’t a million miles away from Russell’s either.’

Russell, 33, quit his Radio 2 show last week over his controversial prank calls to actor Andrew Sachs, 78.

He is now forging an acting career in the States following his success in hit comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
