Peaches Geldof: My marriage to Max Drummey won't last forever

But socialite insists she’s in love with musician at the moment

Peaches Geldof has admitted that she’ll have to work at her marriage to make it go the distance.

The socialite wed drummer Max Drummey, 24, in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in August.

‘You can't ignore divorce rates,’ she says. ‘Every friend of mine has parents who are now divorced. I didn't go into it with Max thinking: “This is going to last forever”, but I did go into it thinking: “I love him right now and I know that I will continue to love him for a long while”.’

Peaches, 19, reckons she fell for Max because of he's so intelligent.

'I'm not the type of girl who will chase after a Brad Pitt look-alike,' she tells a teen mag. 'He has this magnetism - I suppose I fell under his spell.

'I've never been swayed by looks. I mean, you've seen some of the people I've dated in the past!'

Peaches' late mum Paula Yates married her dad Sir Bob, 56, in 1986 but left him for INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

Bob couldn't help but be concerned about his daughter's speedy nuptials but gave her his blessing.

‘He said: “Well, I think it's a really intense thing to do and, in my opinion, as your father, I think it's a bit silly because you're very young. But, at the same time, I'm happy for you, and if you love him, that's a really good thing”.’
