Actor Andy Whyment has baby boy

Andy Whyment is chuffed at becoming a father

Coronation Street star Andy Whyment’s wife Nichola has given birth to their first child.

The actor, 28, who plays Kirk Sutherland, was by her side in Salford, Manchester, at the weekend to welcome the little boy.

The pair, who have been married since July 2007, have decided to call him Thomas, reports the Daily Mirror.

Andy's Corrie co-stars Ryan Thomas, 24, Jack P Shepherd, 20, and Alison King, 35, also have babies on the way.
