Judge set to concentrate on American show
Wednesday, 22 October 2008
Len Goodman is planning to leave hit BBC1 series Strictly Come Dancing.
The judge has decided to concentrate on the American version of the show, Dancing With The Stars, because travelling across the Atlantic every week is so exhausting.
‘The jet-lag takes it toll,’ he admits. ‘I wasn’t going to do it this year – the flying backwards and forward – but I got talked into it again.
‘But this will probably be the last time. I’ll have to make a decision, if they ask me, whether to do the British show or American show.’
Len, 64 - who flies to LA every Sunday morning with Strictly co-star Bruno Tonioli, 52 – is paid £90,000 for his expertise in the UK but a whopping £250,000 in the US.
‘My heart wants to do the British show,’ he tells the News Of The World, 'but my head... the money makes me want to do the American one.’

He is not quitting Strictly Come Dancing and has already said on air that as long as the BBC ask him he will be doing Strictly again next year. He is not doing Dancing With The Stars next week as he is so shattered from all the travelling so they have given him a week off. If he has to make a choice it will be for Strictly not Dancing With The Stars.
Seeing the way he threw his dummy out of the pram last night (Sat 25th Oct)and acting like a right k**b,he should leave the show.
I wish you would get rid of Len Goodman, he gets on everybody else's nerves with his overbearing manners, he is a bully.
