Louis Walsh's group end up in the sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo
Monday, 20 October 2008
Girlband chose Heal The World for The X Factor Michael Jackson week, but their performance didn't thrill TV viewers.
They ended up in the bottom two with Ruth Lorenzo last night and had to sing again.
The Spanish 25-year-old went first and blasted out a brilliant version of Purple Rain by Prince.
Girlband did their best with Aerosmith's I Don't Want To Miss A Thing and the judges reached deadlock for the second week in a row.
Host Dermot O'Leary was forced to refer back to the public vote and Girlband got the least number of calls. It was all over for Tita Lau, Phoebe Jay Lau, Marisa Bilitteri and Layla Manoochehri.
Earlier in the evening Cheryl Cole took the chance to show what she can do by hopping on stage with Girls Aloud to perform their new single The Promise.
Dermot invited Simon Cowell to comment on the girls' performance and he couldn't resist taking a bitchy swipe, calling Cheryl's vocal 'a little pitchy'.

That is a good news for Ruth who was far better in terms of vocals any way.
