EastEnders SPOILER ALERT: Pat Butcher crashes Janine Evans' wedding

Evil character's scheming to become a rich bride doesn't go to plan

Janine Butcher - played by Charlie Brooks - has no scruples

Janine Evans returns to Albert Square after her marriage scam is foiled by stepmum Pat Butcher.

The evil bride, played by Charlie Brooks, 27, pretends to be Jewish and tricks a wealthy elderly man into agreeing to marry her, convincing him that her family have died in a car crash.

Pat (Pam St Clement) learns of her plan to get rich quick and crashes the wedding with Janine’s brother Ricky (Sid Owen) and cousin Billy (Perry Fenwick).

After initially claiming the trio are insane, Janine realises she’s been beaten and lunges for Pat in anger.

‘It’s a fabulous return for Charlie’s character,’ an insider tells The Sun. ‘After Pat wrecks her big day, there’s no knowing what Janine will do.’

Janine’s return is set to be screened over the Christmas period.
