David Tennant and Catherine Tate both nominated for their performances in BBC1 drama

Doctor Who stars David Tennant and Catherine Tate are set to battle it out for a National TV Award.
The actors have both been nominated for Outstanding Drama Performance for their work on the BBC1 show.
Other stars in the category include Ashes To Ashes actor Philip Glenister (Gene Hunt) and The Bill's Alex Walkinshaw (Sgt Dale Smith).
‘The variety of nominees this year shows the remarkable range and diversity of the programmes and performers we all love to watch,’ host Trevor McDonald reveals.
‘The NTAs provide a unique opportunity for the Industry to gauge public opinion and it will be a huge night for all of us who love great TV.’
Also up for awards are EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, which are all nominated in the Most Popular Serial Drama category.
