
Fern Britton's contract with Ryvita has been renewed – despite the controversy over her gastric band surgery.
The TV presenter was dropped as the face of the diet snack in the summer after it was revealed she’d had the secret weight loss op in 2006.
But Fern will appear in the first advert for the company's new Limbo range of low-fat crisps.
‘We are delighted to continue our association with Fern,’ marketing director Nigel Nelms confirms.
‘We have developed a fantastic and successful working relationship with her. She has played an intrinsic part in the success of our ads.’
Fern, 51, says she's thrilled to be involved.
‘I’m delighted we are continuing the relationship,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.
‘I have such fun making the ads and I greatly value our working relationship.’
