EastEnders wins 9 prizes at Inside Soap Awards

BBC soap beats Coronation Street to top prize

Roxanne Pallett looked stunning in pink at the glitzy event

EastEnders won Best Soap at the 2008 Inside Soap awards - and scooped another 8 prizes.

Lacey Turner picked up Best Actress and co-star Robert Kazinsky was named Best Actor at the event in Camden, London.

'I've been in EastEnders for four years and I've had some brilliant storylines,' said Lacey, 20.

Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) won Best Bad Boy and Alison King (Carla Connor) was awarded Best Bitch.

Emmerdale's Roxanne Pallett looked glamorous in a pink dress but Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) was named the Best-Dressed Soap Star.
