Dermot O'Leary shocked fans when he launched a bitter attack on X Factor hopefuls.

The presenter was being interviewed on ITV2 show Celebrity Juice when he slammed contestants.

‘I don’t care about what your dream is, I don’t care what you want to sing and I don’t care about your dead relative,’ he rants.

‘There’s no way I’m going to come out of this looking good, so who cares. It’s past 9pm, I can say what I f**king want.’

However, an X Factor spokeswoman insisted: 'Dermot was making fun of himself. It absolutely wasn't aimed at anyone else and no offence was intended.'
