James Blunt: I'd quit music if someone paid me enough

Singer fed up with his songs being slammed

Why so glum, James Blunt?

James Blunt has vowed never to sing again if he's given enough money.

The star has been criticised for his soppy ballads.

So he's thought of a way to resolve the issue.

'If someone is prepared to pay me enough, I'll stop,' he tells Uncut.

But James, 34, still can't understand why people badmouth him.

'If someone puts some chocolate cake in front of you and you don't like it, but there's some cheesecake to the right, would you start screaming at the chef?' he says.

'Just eat the cheesecake without calling the chef the Antichrist.'
