Doctor Who is big winner at TV Quick Awards

BBC shows sweeps the board at ceremony

Catherine Tate was named Best Actress

Doctor Who bagged an impressive haul of gongs at last night’s TV Quick Awards.

The show won Best Loved Drama and Best Actor and Best Actress for David Tennant and Catherine Tate.

EastEnders scooped the coveted Best Soap prize, while Charlie Clements, who plays Bradley Branning, was named Best Soap Actor.

Other winners included Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, for Best Entertainment Show category.

And Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, who picked up Best Soap Newcomer for her role as Tina McIntyre.
