Amy Winehouse is being lined-up to appear on Countdown after Carol Vorderman exits the show later this year.
The singer recently admitted she’s a huge fan of the Channel 4 show, saying: ‘On my life, I would love to go on Countdown.’
Now producers have approached Amy, 24, about being a celebrity contestant and taking on a guest presenting role.
‘We would love to hear from her about coming on to the show,’ a show spokesman tells the Daily Star Sunday.
‘There’s no reason why she couldn’t appear as a celebrity in Dictionary Corner.’
Carol, 47, quit Countdown two weeks ago after she was asked to take a 90% pay cut.
Myleene Klass, 30, Anthea Turner, 48, and Ulrika Jonsson, 41, are favourites to replace her.
