Girls Aloud star replaces Sharon Osbourne and shows she's all heart

Cheryl Cole joined Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue for the new series of The X Factor last night and the show was watched by 11 million viewers.
It's a fantastic start and Dannii, for one, is relieved that Sharon Osbourne is now longer on the judging panel.
'We weren't friends,' she told The Radio Times. 'We weren't always fighting, but Sharon made it clear that she didn't like me, so she won't be missed. Not by me.'
Cheryl, 25, faced an emotional moment when Nikk Mager, a 'boyband' contestant from Popstars: The Rivals, turned up to audition.
The 2002 show launched Cheryl's own career with Girls Aloud and she felt she couldn't judge his performance because it was too 'weird' an experience.
As Simon Cowell wondered what on earth was going on, she walked away from the panel's table and wept.
Nikk was turned down by the other 3 judges and all Cheryl could do was try to comfort him with a big hug.
