Actor says he's fond of his co-star's Coronation Street girlfriend

Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas have been dating for 2 months

Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle has defended his co-star Jamie Lomas’s relationship with Kym Marsh, claiming the pair should be left alone to get to know each other.

The actor, 27, spoke exclusively to Now Online and revealed he’s pleased his friend’s found love with the 32-year-old Coronation Street actress.

‘He’s met someone he really likes,’ he says. ‘He’s an absolutely lovely fella and I wish him all the luck in the world.’

Ricky, who plays policeman Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 soap, also appeared in Sky One show Dream Team with Jamie, 28.

‘I’ve only met Kym a couple of times and she’s lovely girl,’ he says.

‘Fingers crossed the press will leave them both – give them space and let them get to know each other properly.

‘Watch this space. They like each other and hopefully things can go further.’
