Soap set to kill off character during festive season

Which star will cop it in Emmerdale?

Emmerdale will shock audiences this Christmas – by killing off an important cast member.

A body will be found floating in a lake and the villagers will be distraught to discover it is someone they know.

‘It really is a shocker,’ an insider tells the Daily Star. ‘The whole village is going to be left numb by the discovery and the prospect that they could have a murderer among them.’

The news prompts an intriguing whodunit situation with all the residents suspecting their own neighbours as the police investigation hots up.

Roxanne Pallet (Jo Sugden), Matt Healy (Matthew King) and Ayden Callaghan (Miles De Souza) have all revealed they are to leave the ITV show later this year - so will it be one them who's fished out of the water?

‘Quite possibly, but bosses are bringing in a number of characters in the coming months,' says the source.

‘One thing is for sure, it’s going to be explosive.’
