Actor is moving on after 3 years in the role
Saturday, 9 August 2008
Robin Hood star Jonas Armstrong is quitting the hit BBC 1 series.
The actor, 27, who has been in the show for 3 years, is leaving to pursue other offers.
‘It has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life,’ he tells The Sun.
‘But the time has come to take on new challenges and look at new opportunities.’
BBC bosses have promised an unmissable exit and insist the programme is not finishing.
‘Jonas leaving the show doesn't mean the end of Robin Hood,’ says a spokeswoman.
The third series will be screened next year.
