James Corden has slated the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
The comedian, who had a small role as a caretaker in 2001, didn't enjoy his time on the programme.
‘It's f***ing awful. I can't tell you the sheer disdain I have for the place and people,’ he tells Esquire.
‘I met a couple of really good friends there, but it's [only] 20% nice people.’
‘It just breeds pricks - all these people walking around with this chicken-in-a-basket fame, talking about going to LA.’
James, 29, co-wrote and starred in Gavin and Stacey, and won a Bafta for his role as Smithy.
