America isn't loving Ant & Dec

When TV golden boys Ant & Dec’s entertainment show premiered on US screens two weeks ago, they were hoping to cause a stir. Sadly, it wasn’t to be.

The debut episode of Wanna Bet? pulled in an audience of just 3.1 million viewers. And though the lads, both 32, had hoped that things would pick up the following week, that didn’t happen either.

The show’s based on a German format – the country’s most popular Saturday night show since the early 80s. Celebs place bets for charity on whether members of the public can do unusual stunts.

But the boys aren’t disheartened by the response of the American public so far. Dec said: ‘We’re looking forward to growing our audience here over the series.’
