Action man Prince William to train with the SAS

But royal won't be involved in any high-risk roles

Prince William is second in line to the throne

Prince William is to complete his training with the military with a stint in the Special Forces this autumn.

Working alongside the Special Air Services, the Special Boat Services and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment, he will be taught about unconventional warfare and counter-terrorism techniques.

But Wills won’t be taking part in any dangerous assignments.

'William won't be joining the Special Forces in any hands-on role but we feel it is important that he learns more about them,’ a Ministry Of Defence spokesman tells the Daily Mail.

'They are a small but massively important part of the country's defences and are currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan to great effect. This is going to be an incredibly exciting experience for William.'

William, 26, has already undergone instruction with the Army, RAF and Royal Navy.
