Actress said to have angered bosses by withdrawing from Emmy race

Katherine Heigl’s days on Grey’s Anatomy could be numbered after she publicly criticised the writers.
The actress, 29, withdrew from nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards, claiming they hadn't given her enough juicy storylines as Dr Isobel Stevens.
'I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an
Emmy nomination,' the 27 Dresses star said in a statement released last month.
'In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.'
Show creator Shonda Rhimes told reporters last week that although she found Katherine's comments 'surprising' she 'didn't feel insulted'.
'When I was told what Heigl said I found it surprising,' she said. 'I love and respect Katie as an actress, but she is outspoken.'
But privately insiders are now predicting Dr Izzy will be killed off in the next series.

If Katherine Heigl leaves I will stop watching - she is amazing. To be honest she is the biggest star on the show and seems to have a good career ahead of her in movies. I think she would not mind leaving as she has so many movie projects lined up - but her comments have been blown out of proportion. She was just being truthful and honest.
