Raef Bjayou will join Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan as a reporter when their show moves to digital channel Watch this autumn.

The Apprentice loser impressed the chat show legends when he appeared on their Channel 4 show last month.

‘Raef is thrilled with the Richard and Judy deal,’ a source tells the Sunday Mirror.

‘He’s never shied away from the fact that The Apprentice launched his career, but he's keen to carve out an name for himself as a presenter, not just a reality TV star.’

Richard, 52, says he is really impressed with his new co-host’s presenting abilities and predicts big things for him.

‘Raef said his real ambition was to be a talk show host so we took him up on it and invited him onto our programme for a live audition,’ he says.

‘Raef’s report was hilarious – the guy’s a natural. Expect to see more of him in the future.’

This will be his second TV venture – the 27-year-old has also signed up for The Underdog Show on Living TV.
