Producer Anita Turner pays tribute to actor Clive Hornby
Friday, 4 July 2008
Clive Hornby has passed away at the age of 63.
The actor – who played Jack Sugden in Emmerdale – was the show's longest-serving cast member.
He had been suffering from ill heath for some time. In January he announced he was taking a short taking a break after 28 years in the ITV soap, but he never returned to our screens.
‘Clive will be greatly missed by everyone who has worked with him on Emmerdale during the past 28 years,’ series producer Anita Turner tells the BBC.
'He was a hugely popular and well-respected member of cast and a terrific actor.’
