Live coverage suspended as show bosses intervene
Friday, 27 June 2008
Big Brother’s Dennis McHugh could be removed from the house following allegations he spat at fellow contestant Mohamed Mohamed.
The incident happened after chef Rex Newmark, 24, smudged Jennifer Clark's portrait of new boy Stuart Pilkinton, 25, as a 'joke'.
But it backfired when Jen, 21, started crying and Mohamed, 24, called her an ‘attention seeker’ – prompting a reaction from Dennis, 23.
Live coverage was suspended by Channel 4 as the housemates were split into two groups over night.
‘Around 12.45am a verbal argument took place between a number of housemates,’ said a show spokeswoman.
‘During that argument Dennis allegedly spat at Mohamed.
'Big Brother is currently talking to each of the housemates individually and reviewing the situation before deciding if any appropriate action is required.'
