Big Brother 9: Stephanie first to get evicted

The reluctant bride has been booted off the show

After they failed in their Big Brother task to dupe the other housemates, Lisa, Luke, Mario and Stephanie were put up for the public vote this week.

Stephanie received 48% of the total votes cast so she's on her way home.

After Davina's announcement, Alexandra told her: 'You can do this, do it well' but she couldn't help crying as she hugged everyone goodbye.

Stephanie will be leaving the Big Brother house during the 10.35pm show.

I feel this was totally unfair for Steph,she was the fourth member of the house and before the fith entered she had to pretend to be the girlfriend of a much older man so she had to lie from the start,the other two,Mario and Lisa stood a much better chance of lying,being older and both been in previous relationships i feel made it easier for them,Steph has had no serious or long term boyfriends to know how to lie about a serious relationship.I understand how hard it must have been for her to try to convince the rest of the house that she was Marios partner as a stranger but the age gap must have been hell for her.I feel this task was unfair from the start for Steph and i feel this task lost her more time in the house through no fault of her own.Get Mario out,he's cheesey.

Yeah i agree, Steph shouldn't have gone, Mario should have, he's so patronising!! I think Steph only went because they failed the task, it wasn't fair. Scousers rule! Alex is nasty.

i love stef!!! she should not have gone its such a pity...i feel she wud have had alot more to give..and all because of that stupid task like i know that i cud never be able to pretend a disgusting man like mario was my boyfriend!!! mario out next week!
