SEE PICS Chelsy Davy sees Prince Harry get his first medal

Royal is honoured for his service in Afghanistan

Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy

Chelsy Davy cheered boyfriend Prince Harry on as he received his first Army campaign medal on Sunday.

The Royal – together with fellow members of his Household Cavalry Regiment – was decorated for service in Afghanistan.

Chelsy, 22, joined his family – including dad Prince Charles and brother Prince William - at the ceremony at Combermere Barracks in Windsor. It's the first time she has joined the Royal Family at such a public event.

Harry, 23, was presented with his medal by his aunt Princess Anne, colonel of the Blues and Royals.

After the ceremony, the cavalry marched through Windsor to the garrison church for a thanksgiving service.

Harry served 10 weeks in the Helmand Province of Afghanistan earlier this year.
