Vinnie Jones: I don't do premieres and parties

Hardman actor shuns Hollywood glamour

Vinnie Jones at The Condemned film premiere presented by Lionsgate, Los Angeles, America - 23 Apr 2007

Vinnie Jones says he isn't interested in the red carpet lifestyle, despite moving from London to LA.

The footballer-turned-actor prefers to skip A-list parties to stay at home with his family.

'We don't do razzmatazz,' he says. 'I don't hang around celebrities or go to premieres.

'I would rather sit indoors with a bacon butty and watch American Idol.'

Vinnie, who was known as part of Wimbledon's 'Crazy Gang' during his footballing career, has often hit the headlines with his boozy behaviour.

But the 43-year-old says his days of partying are over.

'I've grown up,' he tells the The Mail On Sunday. 'I knew wine and champagne were poisoning my body, so I gave them up.

'Now I have only the occasional beer and I do not look for trouble. It's made a huge difference.'
