Naomi Campbell arrested on suspicion of assaulting police officer

Supermodel alleged to have spat in cop’s face

Naomi Campbell was arrested at Heathrow yesterday after an ugly incident on board a British Airways plane.

The supermodel boarded a 4.00pm flight to LA at Heathrow's new troubled Terminal 5 and is reported to have become angry when informed that one of her bags had not been loaded on board.

Naomi, 37 - who was flying First Class to appear on a US chat show - became very distressed.

‘She was screaming and shouting, effing and blinding and complaining that she did not have her clothes for her television appearance,’ a source claims in the Daily Mail.

Flight staff called the police and Naomi was handcuffed after allegedly spitting at an officer.

‘A 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and taken to Heathrow police station,' police have confirmed.

Naomi was bailed until May and no charges have yet been brought.

Her publicist Annabel Fox has 'nothing to say' on the matter and a spokesperson for BA has also refused to comment.
