Nicole Kidman wants George Clooney to be godfather to her baby

And actor has agreed to take on the role

Nicole Kidman has asked pal George Clooney to be godfather to her baby.

The actress is expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban, 40, and she thinks George will be great at watching over her kid.

'He said "yes",' a source tells the Daily Mirror. 'They are great friends and she can think of no one more perfect for the job.'

George, 46, who is currently dating former waitress Sarah Larson, 29, has no kids.

He met Nicole, 40, on the set of their 1997 film The Peacemaker.
