Leona Lewis broke down in tears after visiting a South African Aids orphanage.
The X Factor winner was in the country as part of her work for charity Sport Relief.
And as one local told Leona of her plight, the singer started to cry.
‘It's heartbreaking,’ she says. ‘The death has torn family apart. Sometimes they go days without food.’
Leona, 22, now wants to do more charity work.
‘It's amazing to see the great work that Sport Relief does and the difference it makes,’ she tells the Daily Mirror.
Leona’s new single, Footprints In The Sands, is the official Sport Relief song.
