SHOCK Prince Harry in wartorn Afghanistan since Christmas Eve

William's little brother is serving on the frontline

Prince Harry

Prince Harry has secretly been in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban since Christmas Eve, army officials have confirmed.

The Prince, 23, who serves with the Household Cavalry's Blues and Royals regiment, has spent the last 10 weeks in Helmand province.

'Prince Harry is very proud to serve his country on operations alongside his fellow soldiers and to do the job he has been trained for,' says the prince's spokesman Paddy Harverson.

Harry - who was not allowed to go to Iraq last year because it was feared he'd be a 'bullet magnet' has been sending letters home to his dad, Prince Charles, who has been photocopying the correspondence to show to the Queen.

There has been a UK news blackout about the Prince's whereabouts as a security measure but foreign websites leaked the story - which is now sweeping the globe.
