Simon Cowell: I was thick in school

X Factor multi-millionaire was threatened with expulsion

Simon Cowell has revealed he wasn’t the cleverest of students in his teens.

‘I went to boarding school when I was about 14,’ he says. ‘I was so thick...that I had to drop down a year.’

The X Factor judge, 48, was even threatened with expulsion because he used to cause so much trouble with his sibling Nicholas.

‘I was put into the same year as my younger brother, and that was just chaotic,’ Simon tells The Sun.

‘It got to the stage where the headmaster basically said, “Either one of them leaves this school or we’re going to kick the two of them out.”’
