Actress sports bizarre cloak as she attends Valentino show

Lucy Liu turned heads for the wrong reasons last night when she stepped out in a bizarre puffy pink wrap at Paris Fashion Week.

The actress, 39, was attending the Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2008 Fashion Show at the Pompidou Centre in the French capital.

The strange design made her look as if she'd picked her duvet off her bed to keep her warm.

Shame, because the purple frock underneath is rather cute.

Lucy - currently starring in new US show Cashmere Mafia about the fashion industry - is said to be getting style advice from Sex And The City guru Patricia Field.

'The other day my character was wearing a gold lamé striped dress with a coffee-hued belt, black leggings and green earrings,' she says proudly.

Works on screen, Lucy. Not so good in real life.
