Robin William splits from wife of 19 years

Marsha Garces Williams files for divorce from Oscar-winning actor

Robin Williams has announced he's separating from Marsha Garces Williams after 19 years of marriage.

She has filed for divorce from the actor citing 'irreconcilable differences'.

The couple have two children, daughter Zelda, 18, and son Cody, 16.

Marsha - the actor's second wife - is seeking joint legal custody for Cody, requesting that he live with her.

She also wants Robin to pay legal fees and maintenance.

Robin, 56, and Marsha, 51, are thought to be allowing the court divide up their property and assets.

The couple met when Marsha was working as a nanny for the comic and his first wife Valerie Velardi.
