Conservative leader David Cameron has revealed how supermodel Kate Moss recently mistook him for a plumber.
He and Kate, 33, was introduced at a charity dinner and he made small talk by mentioning the recent flooding of her country home.
'I remembered she has a house in my constituency and we'd had these terrible floods in West Oxfordshire,' says Mr Cameron, 41.
'I said, sorry about the flooding in your house. I know your local pub has been flooded and I know it's going to re-open in six months.'
But it seems Kate was unaware that she was talking to the leader of the opposition.
'I went on like this, twittering on, and she turned around and said, "God, you sound like a really useful guy, can I have your phone number?",' he told Michael Parkinson on ITV1.
Fortunately, the Tory politician was highly amused.
'I went back to my table and said, "The good news is, I met Kate Moss and she wanted my telephone number. The bad news is, I think she thinks I'm something to do with drainage".'
