Angelina Jolie: Brad has never told me he loves me

Brangelina aren't a soppy couple

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have never looked into one another's eyes and said ‘I love you’.

The couple are mum and dad to four kids, but don't whisper those three special words in a tender way.

‘I don’t think we’ve ever said "I love you". I mean I’m sure we have, but we would punch each other in the arm first,’ says Angelina, 32.

The Tomb Raider star also reveals that everyone seemed to think that she and Brad, 43, would end up a couple before she even realised she'd fallen for him.

They both starred in the 2005 movie Mr And Mrs Smith but Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston at the time.

‘I think the world knew before I did,' Ange tells Marie Claire. 'We’d had such fun filming, shooting guns and riding bikes together, that I could have guessed.

‘But he's a lot more than people would assume he is. He’s much more "man" than any man I’ve ever met.’
