Will Smith toasts David and Victoria Beckham

He tells guests that Posh’s dress is ‘hot’

Actor Will Smith gave a soppy speech to welcome David and Victoria Beckham to LA last week.

The actor helped pal Tom Cruise organise the big do on Sunday night.

And midway through the party, Will proposed a welcome toast to Victoria, 33, and David, 32.

‘I would like to say I love the dress, baby. It's a hot dress,’ Will, 38, told Victoria. (Did Will not notice the black baby-doll style was embarrassingly similar to the one worn by wife Jada?)

The Pursuit Of Happyness star also explained why he’s a big fan of the Beckhams.

‘Tom [Cruise] said to me the most important decision you'll ever make in your life is the groups you choose to be a part of,’ he told guests, reports the Daily Mirror.

‘He said that when you choose your wife you're choosing a life, and when you choose your friends you are choosing your life.

'So we stand here tonight and welcome our new friends to Los Angeles, to the United States, David and Victoria.’

Ummm, why are the all friends exactly? Because the belong to Club Famous?
