Aussie singer helps David Tennant get over his mum's death

Kylie Minogue has helped David Tennant get back to work on Doctor Who.

The Time Lord’s mother Helen McDonald, 67, passed away from cancer this month and yesterday was 36-year-old David's first day back on set since she passed away.

Kylie, 39 - who’s beaten breast cancer – comforted her co-star as they filmed in Swansea.

‘I know how you are feeling,’ she’s reported to have told him.

Kylie is a guest star in the Christmas special of the BBC1 show.

‘She was really sympathetic,’ a source on the BBC set tells the Daily Mirror.
