Will Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi marry?

Rumours of a June 'wedding'

Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are reportedly getting spliced this summer - because the Ally McBeal actress wants to formalise her relationship with the TV host.

The couple are said to be planning a lavish civil union ceremony for friends and family at their California home in June, when 49-year-old Ellen's chat show is off air.

'Portia demanded that Ellen marry her,' a source told the National Enquirer. 'After lots of talk and plenty of hints, Portia finally confronted Ellen right after the Oscars about making a commitment.

'They're still discussing a honeymoon location, but at this point Portia would just be happy at home enjoying their estate. Ellen is very happy too. All her dreams are coming true.'

Before getting together with Portia, 34, Ellen dated actress Anne Heche, 37, for three years.

After they went their separate ways, Anne married cameraman Coley Laffoon in 2001 and had a son but they split up this year.
