Actor passes away at California hospital

Corey Haim shot to fame in the 80s

Former teen heartthrob Corey Haim has died at the age of 38.

The Lost Boys star passed away at St Joseph's hospital in California at 3.30am today.

He was apparently found unconscious at the LA apartment he shared with his mum.

Corey, who dated Victoria Beckham before the Spice Girls made it big, had battled drug addiction.

He starred in 80s cult vampire film The Lost Boys with Corey Feldman and Kiefer Sutherland.

But in the 90s he slipped into obscurity and spent time in rehab for a prescription drug problem.

He appeared in reality TV show The Two Coreys with Corey Feldman in 2007.

But the series was cancelled in 2008 after two seasons.
