Miley Cyrus has made a video to explain why she abandoned Twitter.
The Hannah Montana star quit her account on the micro-blogging site on Thursday.
‘Yeah, the rumours are true, I deleted my Twitter,' says Miley, 16, on the YouTube clip.
‘I had to say goodbye and this little rap is to tell my fans why. I want my private life private. I'm living for me.'
In her last post, Miley, 16, hinted rumoured boyfriend Liam Hemsworth had encouraged her to ditch Twitter.
But now she's tried to clarify what she meant.
'It wasn't because my friend told me to,' she sings. 'I stopped living for moments and started living for people.'
